Alberto Vaquerizo

Alberto  is a senior Senior Lecturer on commercial, corporate and bankruptcy law / Professor (Profesor Titular) Department of Commercial Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid as well as diverse specialized aspects of corporate finance and company acquisitions. He received his law degree and his Ph.D from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and he earned an LL.M from the University of Georgetown, Washington D.C. (USA). He has given lectures in specialized courses in various public and private institutions, including the European University Institute of Turin (Italy), the University of Lima (Peru), the Economists Association of Madrid (Spain), the Madrid Association for Management Development (Spain) and the Madrid Stock Exchange (Spain). Alberto is also the Director of the Center for Continuing Education at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), and works as an Of Counsel at Garayar Abogados SL where he has acted as counsel and advisor of firms on a wide range of corporate affairs and contracts, debt restructuring, pre-insolvency agreements and bankruptcy proceedings. Alberto is a member of the General Comission for the draft of Legislation of the Ministry of Justice (Commercial Law Section) appointed for the drafting of a new Commercial Code and a Member of the Madrid Bar Association.
