With a view to the project Final Conference – which has been held in Brussels on the 5th July 2018 – several documents have been developed and circulated among participants: the final report, a summary of guidelines and policy recommendations, suggestions for the re-drafting of the Directive Proposal (COM(2016) 723 final), and the national findings of the four jurisdictions involved in the reaserch (Germany, Italy, Spain, and the U.K.).

All documents are made available in a provisional version with the purpose of inviting comments for further development. See the relative page, here.

The University of Florence and the Bank of Italy are holding a conference in Rome to

(i) present the results of the Italian empirical research on preventive restructuring proceedings and tools in Italy, which have been developed within an EU-funded research project, and

(ii) debate the results with attendants and foster critical analysis thereof.

The conference will be held in Italian. Please see the conference Agenda for the details.

The conference will take place in Rome, at the Banca d’Italia Centro Congressi “C.A. Ciampi”, in Via Nazionale, 190 – 00184 Rome, Italy.

Best Practices in European Restructuring

Contractualised Distress Resolution in the Light of the Directive Proposal of 22 November 2016

Registration is now open!

The University of Florence (L. Stanghellini / R. Mokal), the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin (C. Paulus) and the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid (I. Tirado) are holding a full-day workshop in Brussels to:

(i) present the results of an EU-funded research project on contractual and semi-formal debt restructuring tools in the EU,

(ii) debate the results with attendants and foster critical analysis thereof, and

(iii) discuss the implications of the project’s outcome on the Directive Proposal of 22 November 2016.

The workshop will take place in Brussels at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), 1 Place du Congres, 1000 Brussels.

Participation is free-of-charge. Registration is mandatory.
